Farm Hand

Salary: Negotiable

King Island TAS

This is the perfect opportunity to grow your career prospects working with a leading beef producer in a pristine location.

Reporting to your property manager, you'll cover four zones over 25,000 acres and manage a herd of more than 8,000 breeding cows.

As Farm Hand you will be responsible for maintaining operations across stock and pasture management, grazing, and animal health and reproduction.

Core responsibilities

As a Farm Hand, you will play a key role in the ongoing development and success of our client's beef operations. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Pasture management.
  • Livestock handling.
  • Animal husbandry. This includes the daily care, selective breeding and raising of livestock.
  • Implementation of low stress stock management, grazing, reproductive and animal health programmes.
  • General farm duties and maintenance of the property and water infrastructure.
