Our client is a true leader and trusted brand within agriculture space, producing some of the best fresh produce on the market, utilising modern techniques and driven by their progressive culture and career development opportunities.

They grow a range of produce form tomatoes to bananas, pumpkins, melons, and a range of soft vegetables, nationally.

The Role

This unique opportunity will see you spending time across all aspects of this hydroponic tomato growing facility based 30km outside of Shepperton, VIC. Offering a structured 2 year plan where you will home in your horticulture skills and offer you both personal and professional development opportunities.

This is a key, hands-on opportunity where you will be providing direct support and assistance to the Assistant Grower in managing greenhouse production, monitoring of crop, greenhouse climate, water resources, crop nutrition and pests/diseases. Coupled with helping to develop high performing glasshouse teams capable of performing all crop production activities.


Our ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Agricultural Science and possess a genuine passion for the growing / agronomy space. Previous experience on farm will of course be an advantage, coupled with a basic knowledge of plant nutrition and soil techniques, but most importantly be willing to learn new concepts, principles and practices of crop optimising, cultivation, growth and yield.

A good verbal and written communicator, you will have great attention to detail and a high standard of work, as well as basic knowledge of OH & S requirements and be willingness to become familiar with company values, policies, procedures and systems.

To be considered for the role, it is also important that you can address the below criteria;

  • Degree qualified in Agriculture Science
  • Exposure to crop nutrition, pest and disease management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated resilience, positivity and perseverance
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to WHS, quality, hygiene, and food safety
  • ChemCert Certification (highly regarded)
  • The passion and determination to progress your career
  • Current Driver's License
