HR Advisor

Salary: AU$85000 - AU$95000 per annum + super

Our client is a peak industry body which has been proudly serving the agricultural industry through multiple flagship programs. With a mission to advocate on behalf of the industry members, their core capabilities range from workforce development and export readiness to innovation and agri-tech.

Located in the Brisbane office, our client is now on a hunt to welcome a HR Advisorin delivering one of their flagship programs effectively and efficiently to their members.

Your Role

As the HR Advisor, you will be the lead in providing technical expertise and training services that contribute to the successful operation of the workforce program across Australia.

Reporting directly to the National Program Manager, you will play a key role in liaising with approved certification/auditing bodies, government agencies and major stakeholders while providing consultation services to our members.

Creative and autonomous, you will have the freedom to make your mark on this well-established and close-knit team. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to -

  • Lead, coordinate and maintain the integrity of the continuous review and development of key program documentation: standard, rules, audit guides, assessment procedures, and additional resources
  • Lead, develop and deliver training material on Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), worker compensation, workplace law and ethical employment practices for program participants and stakeholders
  • Work in collaboration with Communication Officer in engaging with and consulting stakeholders regarding Program and system requirements
  • Prepare accurate information and material for industrial articles, websites and social media content and reports, in line with Program objectives
  • Develop and coordinate oversight of auditing bodies including annual audits of the certification bodies

About You

To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as an Industrial Relations Officer or HR Advisor, preferably within an industrial with a high casualized blue collar workforce. Committed to serve and understand our members, you will also have -

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR
  • Interest in or knowledge of Australian agriculture industry
  • Understanding in Workplace Health and Safety
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Open Drivers' License
