The Role

Our client is currently expanding their Shipping and Documentations team and are currently on the lookout for a Logistics Coordinator. Based in their St Kilda Road office, in the CBD, you will be responsible for providing key administration, logistics and documentation support for the company's diverse range of clients.

You will be providing logistical and customer service support to one of the world's leading Almond Trading Teams. The role includes fulfilling customer contracts, order entry, demand planning and problem-solving order discrepancies.

Undertaking an interesting and varied range of activities, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Respond to requests for information from our overseas customers, sales, and logistics teams
  • Create sales orders
  • Manage order flow with local packers and shipping lines
  • Generate and collate required logistics documentation for multiple accounts in various stages of completion in a time-sensitive environment
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of all documents
  • Regularly compare sales schedules to production, adjusting as required
  • Manage vessel bookings and liaise with third-party logistics and warehouses for delivery of goods
  • Invoicing and costing for all shipments
  • Other administrative duties as requested

You

Our ideal candidate has proven data entry experience, exceptional attention to detail and excellent relationship-building capabilities. Ideally, you have worked in a similar role or for a shipping line booking cargo and have a sound understanding of the logistics and documentation processes. General knowledge of shipping procedures and knowledge of SAP (or similar) would be an advantage.

Highly organised, you'll be a great time manager with strong administrative and organisational skills. Dedicated to continuous improvement and accuracy in all facets of your work, the successful candidate needs to be a team player who is committed to a positive and efficient workplace.

To be considered for the role, it's important you can address the following:

  • Supply chain, transport or logistics experience is essential
  • SAP experience (preferred though not essential)
  • Proven experience in data entry and analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding communicator - written and verbal
  • A team player who willingly supports other areas of the business
