Our client is an Australian leader in sustainable broadacre cropping. They have seven large scale operations covering over 75,000 hectares across Qld, NSW, Victoria and WA. They are known for their quality product and strong staff culture. The main crop focus is chickpeas, barley, canola, wheat and legumes.
As Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for safely and effectively driving a range of machines including self-propelled and camera sprayers, spreaders and undertaking paddock preparation activities. You'll be required to perform a range of other duties that will include (but not be limited to):
- Crop monitoring for health and progress
- Maintenance of farm machinery and vehicles
- Identifying any WHS risks or incidents
- Chemical preparation and storage
- Other duties as required
The position is based at Quandialla in NSW, where you will be provided with accommodation suitable for families and pets, along with a work vehicle and phone allowance.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have plenty of machine operating experience (no tickets necessary!). You'll be reliable and adaptable with a proactive approach to tasks and capable of following instructions well.
To be considered for the role, it's important you address the following criteria:
- Proven experience operating a range of machinery (truck licences highly favoured)
- Previous experience in an agriculture or mining environment
- ChemCert (highly regarded)
- Positive and flexible
- Solid numeracy skills
