We undertake a range of background checks before placing a candidate in your agribusiness, including formal reference checks, police checks, qualification checks and pre-employment medical examinations, as required.

Agri Talent conducts initial screening and formal preliminary interviews with candidates before submitting shortlisted candidate profiles to you. We can also assist with later interview stages as needed; however, we find that clients who conduct these interviews in-house with our team acting as a sounding board achieve the best outcome.

After completing formal reference checks, Agri Talent will present the candidate with your offer and negotiate terms as required. We will also provide advice during the onboarding process, and follow up with you and the successful candidate after the first week, the first month, and then after three, six and twelve months to ensure that you and the candidate are both satisfied.

We represent candidates just as we do clients, and it’s important to us that we do so accurately and fairly, ensuring that clients and candidates are well matched. We want to ensure that every match we recommend is genuinely in candidates’ best interests. That’s why we vet our clients just as we expect them to vet us, and choose to recruit for clients we would be proud to work for.

Agri Talent actively seeks out opportunities to connect with graduates. We partner with several universities across Australia and regularly attend conferences and careers days for university graduates.

We also receive a high volume of organic traffic and enquiries from university graduates who are interested in working in the agriculture industry.

Accommodation provisions depend on the location and seniority level of the position. Since the pandemic created conditions for an accommodation crisis across the country, these inclusions have been less common, particularly from smaller agribusiness employers with less resources.

Bonuses such as vehicle access and travel provisions are often reserved for candidates in high-level positions; however, this is at the discretion of the employer. These inclusions will be noted in job advertisements.

While career development opportunities are common to many of the roles we recruit for, this is not always the case. We strive for total transparency in each role description and all marketing communication, ensuring that all of our candidates know what to expect before they start a new position.

Suitable candidates in our database will be the first to be notified about new positions. Candidates who sign up for job alerts via our website can also receive email notifications about positions relevant to their location and requirements.

Yes – candidates in our database will be the first contacted when we list a job that matches their preferences. However, we also encourage you to stay alert for job advertisements online, particularly on platforms like Seek, and reach out to us with any expressions of interest.

As we recruit on our clients’ behalf, you will be a direct employee of the client. Agri Talent is only involved during the recruitment process, although we do stay in contact with clients post-placement to ensure that the candidates we place are performing well.

Some employers include relocation assistance in their offers, particularly if the job is based in a remote location; however, it will be immediately clear in the job listing if this is not the case.

While we cannot offer direct CV writing services due to intellectual property laws, we can provide general resume writing tips and advice to candidates.

Yes – the agriculture industry is full of opportunities for candidates who are open to working in different sectors. Our team can provide practical advice based on our experience recruiting and placing candidates who have transitioned into an agricultural position from another industry.
